CES PE 10-29/11-2

Monday - underhand tossing to a target, overhand throwing to a target - students will take turns throwing a large foam ball to the green bucket from varying distances

Tuesday - shaved ice - students will play together down the hill

Wednesday - spooky scooters - students will take turns riding the scooters backward, forward, and on their bellies

Thursday - half in and half out - inside students will practice kicking to a target - outside students will play together on the playground

Monday/Tuesday - half in and half out - outside students will play together on the playground - inside students will practice rolling, tossing, and throwing and catching

Wednesday/Thursday - half in and half out - outside students will play together on the playground - inside students will practice kicking to a target

Friday - all out - students will have the opportunity to play together outside

Monday - Jump Rope - students will take turns jumping, hopping, skipping, galloping, and jogging around the rope

Tuesday, Wednesday - Roll and Catch, Toss and Catch - students will practice the skill of catching with two hands, starting with a rolled ball and progressing to a tossed ball

Thursday, Friday - Tossing to a Target, Throwing to a Target - students will practice the skill of underhand tossing to a bucket and overhand throwing to a bucket

students inside will learn different hula hooping skills, students outside will have the opportuntiy to play together

Tuesday/Wednesday - half in and half out - the students inside will be introduced to stations, taking turns and rotating from station to station - the students outside will have the opportunity to play together outside

Thursday - continue station practice work

Friday - Picture Day in the gym - students will have the opportunity to play together outside

CES PE 8-27 through 8-31

The Coosada Elementary School PE department will be selling JUICE FLAVORED shaved ice. The scheduled dates are September 6, September 18, October 3, October 17 and October 30.  Please mark these dates on your calendar. If you would like for your child to participate, please send $1.50 CASH for each day, at least two days in advance. Make sure that you send exact change with the student’s name and homeroom teacher clearly identified. (NO CHECKS !!!) The money we raise will be used to purchase additional PE and playground equipment. Thanks to the money we have raised previously, we were able to purchase two heavy duty swing sets!

All week we will be practicing exercises and organizing classes onto their lines. We will review rules daily.

Monday - locomotor skills - students willtravel around thegym performing various locomotor skills - walking, running, hopping, skipping, galloping, jumping

Tuesday - shaved ice - students will play on the playground after they eat their shaved ice

Wednesday - throwing and catching with a scoop - students will toss a beanbag underhand to a student that will catch with a scoop

Thursday - playground - students will have the opportuntiy to play together outside

Friday - rolling and catching, tossing and catching, throwing and catching - students will perform these activities with a big squishy ball

Monday - jump ropes - students will take turns jumping, skipping, galloping, and hopping around the rope

Tuesday - throwing to a target - students will practice throwing sidearm and underhand to a target

Wednesday - throwing to a partner - students willthrow to each other sidearm and underhand

Thursday/Friday - half in and half out - students inside will play tag games while students outside will play together on the playground

Monday - striking with long handled implements - students will practice striking a fat ball to a target with hockey sticks and tennis rackets

Tuesday/Wednesday - half in, half out - inside students will balance a beanbag on a paddle while walking and will toss it to a target

Thursday/Friday - half in, half out - inside students will play with a hula hoop

PE 1-30/2-3

Monday - Tuesday - half in and half out - one pod will stay in and shoot to a basket like basketball and one pod will play on the playground

Wednesday - Wii - students will play Dance games on the Wii

Thursday - Scooters - students will travel backward, forward, and on their tummies on the scooters

Friday - Playground - students will have the opportunity to play together outside

Monday - throwing and catching with a partner - students will pick a partner and throw and catch different objects

Tuesday - rolling and throwing to a target - students will attempt to knock over a bowling pin with a frisbee and a ball

Wednesday - throwing to a target - students will throw underhand with a scoop and overhand with a football

Thursday - scooter relays - students will ride forward and backward on their bottoms and tummies pulling with their legs and their hands

Friday - Wii dancing - students will dance to different songs on the Wii - students who choose not to dance will be allowed to walk and jog in place

Tuesday - Playground - students will have the opportunity to play together outside

Wednesday/Thursday - Half and Half - half the class will stay inside and play with the Wii while the other half goes outside and plays on the playground

Friday - Throw and Play - students will have the opportunity to pick a partner and play together with footballs, small balls, squishy balls, etc.

Mon. - Hoop It Up! Students will play with the hoops on different body parts.

Tues. - Jump It Up! Students will jump, hop, skip, gallop, and move in other ways around the rope.

Wed. - Scooter Riding Rodeo! Students will ride the scooters forward, backward, and on their tummies.

Thu. - Tag Games Galore! Students will practice chasing, fleeing, and dodging as they play TunnelTag, Fitness Tag, and Sit-Down Tag.

Fri. - Wii, This is Fun! Students will play games from the Wii, with Students of the Week taking turns being the leaders.
